The National Park's west entrance is a short three-minute drive to the east. Enjoy hiking, birding, boating and exploring, and a short drive to the local gas and grocery store, more restaurants and art galleries!
In the historic Terlingua Ghostown, a five minute drive west, you'll discover more restaurants, galleries, and shopping. Don't miss the Starlight Theatre and infamous local spot "The Porch."
Big Bend Ranch State Park is a 20 minute drive west for the Best Scenic River Drive and more hiking, birding, boating and miles of mountain bike trails.

Kathy has lived in Terlingua for 46 years. She lives on site and is a wealth of information about all there is to see and do in Big Bend! She deeply cares about the region, its history and natural resources, and is highly responsive to guests.
Kathy raised her son Josh in Terlingua. Josh built Kozy Kabin and keeps the property operating in top condition!
Fun Fact: Kathy owned and operated a food truck - Kathy's Kosmic Kowgirl Kafe - a highly popular stop amongst locals and travelers alike.
